My husband, 7 year old son and I had a fabulous afternoon of sailing with Tim as our instructor. The hands on experience – for all of us, well pitched language – for all of us, allowed us to enjoy our sailing to the max. Excellent!

We had a fantastic time, I went in full of balls and ended up in tears because I’m a big pansy – all that water on my head freaked me out a bit! Maybe just a slight note about this on the website, but it wouldn’t put me off.

We had a wonderful day despite the drizzle and Will did an amazing job. He was exceedingly competent and calm, giving clear explanations and instilling confidence. He looked after everyone in the group and catered to all individual needs/abilities. The hot chocolate produced after lunch was a nice touch too and according to my son was “the best ever”! Now my son (9) wants to move to the Lake District when he’s older and get a job “doing the same as Will”!
We went climbing for the afternoon with another company the following week and it was inferior in all aspects. If we come back to Coniston, which I hope we do, we will be booking again with RiverDeepMountainHigh. Many thanks Will

We just wanted to write to say thank you all so much for a fantastic week of activities; we have all come away having had a wonderful time on each of the different adventures you organised.
Each of the 3 leaders we met (Will, Emma and Johan) were great, taking the time to talk with each of the people on the event and getting to know us all individually so you could cater for us (both in terms of physical food – hot chocolate or not – and level of difficulty) as appropriate. It was all much appreciated and added to our enjoyment!
When we needed to contact you regarding our bookings, the friendly help and advice was never any trouble and was dealt with quickly and efficiently.
So many thanks once again to you all. I would not hesitate to recommend you to others and look forward to the possibility of booking with you again in the future. We will also try to leave a review on TripAdvisor as requested.

Gorge walking with River Deep Mountain High was a fantastic experience. Our guide Will coped brilliantly with our varied levels of capability (ranging from ‘quietly determined’ to ‘mountain goat’). He was able to find additional challenges for our son who turned out to be very adept, while allowing the more cautious members to move at their own pace without any pressure to hurry up. Fully enjoyed the afternoon. Thank you

Really clear information, after using the website had no doubt that this was the company for us to use. Easy to find you on the day too. 15 mins max from A590.

Professional, positive and clear instructions. Really supportive to the pupils, especially the more apprehensive ones.
Activity Experience (Pitch, Kit, Content) 5 Amazing! Summit Selfies are the way forward to motivate kids to get up the hills.Kit provided was to a high standard and the staff and pupils felt 100% safe all the time. ‘Legend’ points were keenly fought for and helped all the kids get stuck in.

No problem – the process of the morning was explained and the chat on the walk to the abseiling site was informative and enhanced the activity so that trust was built before we stepped off the top !

Hello
I’d like to thank you and your staff for the excellent programme you delivered for us last week. I was with the young people yesterday when they delivered a presentation about their experience of NCS so far. It was full of stories of adventure and hot chocolate (for some reason)! Most said they found the expedition hard, mainly because of having to carry a heavy sack. They had lots of tales of sleeping in cave and the storm! I am pleased that they were challenged by the activities, as this has formed a good platform for the next week of the programme.

A great day out – the “guides” worked hard with the group as they were pretty much all non-English speaking – apart from a couple of translators. This made me a little concerned as there were a couple of more reluctant participants in the group – but they coped well.
The activity was difficult to gauge in terms of enjoyment when planning – but it went well. Would try something similar again on the next visit. Next visit…..not sure when – but base on this day would be more than happy to work with RDMH to put something together that the group will/would remember.
Oh – and the lunch was great – so often on these things there is an element of penny pinching to keep costs down – and there is a lack of food/drink (or at least it appears a little light). No problem here – and Mrs Johannes’ Chocolate Brownies hit the mark. Thanks

We had a full on Adventure day, rock climbing & Abseiling with Will- whom we both thought was an amazing instructor, he meeting and greeted us very well, he was confident and informative all day through, and it was brilliant that he even brought hot chocolate for us to drink after each of our activities. He even brought a walking pole with him in case either of us needed it (and i did).
Will’s knowledge of the Lake District was outstanding and he didn’t mind sharing it with us at all.
The activities were amazing and we had the most immense amount of fun- (if truly terrifying for me, but that’s why i did it!)we explored a part of the Lakes which we never knew existed, which was amazing! we were extremely lucky with not only the weather, but with that it was just the three of us all day so packed more of each activity in. Thanks Will, and River Deep, Mountain High for an amazing day that we will never forget! – We will definitely be back!

Apologies for the delay in writing to you, but I had a full-on week last week with the elections.
I wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the brilliant weekend we had on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May. Everyone had such a great time.
It was clear that the level of experience and the range in courage was wide amongst the members of our group!! But Will and Alex were great. They made the activities fully inclusive so no one was left out and everyone got maximum enjoyment from the weekend.
There was a strong sense of achievement in the Bunkhouse come Sunday evening, all thanks to Will and Alex.
Thank you once again for a fantastic weekend. We’ll definitely be spreading the word to friends and we’ll definitely be booking again in the future

Hi there,
My name’s Tom and I participated in the Stag weekend activities this past weekend (1st to the 4th). I was last in the mountain biking, moaned a lot etc. Just wanted to say that despite my lack of skill in a gorge or on a bike, I had a great time and I wanted to thank you both for being patient with my constant complaints and questions.
The Stag, Neil, had a fantastic time and that’s what really matters.
I am still battered and bruised but I did win the poker on the Sunday night so I ended the weekend on a numerical plus. Overall everybody had a great time.
