If you have just bought a boat and want to feel safe on the water then a paddlesport skills day is just the ticket – learn how to paddle effectively and efficiently, learn how to deal with capsizing and rescue techniques, learn about what you need to consider on the lake or other environments including weather safety.

If you are looking at purely developing your paddling skills then Canoe England personal paddlesport skill awards are where to aim – these are called star tests starting with 1 star and working up to 5 star in different aspects of paddlesport.  We can provide 1-3 star awards.

Going canoeing or kayaking on a river requires some specific skills training which can be done as part of a moving water day.

Climbing skills training

If you or your children have done a bit of indoor climbing then our regular climbing session is the perfect introduction to climbing outdoors.  It has an increasing degree of difficulty and there is plenty of rock to go at.

If you’d like to do this but would like to spend a full day getting to grips with the crags then our climbing adventure day would be a great choice.

Maybe you’ve done a bit of outdoor climbing already and would like to develop this – we can teach learning to lead climb or arrange for a multi-pitch climbing day*.

Sailing

All our sailing sessions cover the 5 essentials of sailing and get you fully involved in a hands on experience.

If you wish to do a course with RYA certification then we can arrange this in conjunction with a local RYA Training Centre – courses available are Level 1*, Level 2* and Seamanship skills*

Mountain Biking

Our mountain biking skills coaching will develop your understanding of how to ride technical features such as berms, drops off, boardwalks, steep downhills and much more giving you confidence to tackle all the many great routes and trail rides available*.

Hiking and Navigation

If you are keen to walk up to mountain tops but know you don’t have the knowledge to deal with the mountain top environment, then some navigation training along with personal safety consideration will help you get out exploring without becoming a Mountain Rescue statistic*.

*These course are best discussed with us so that we can make sure your planned course fits your needs – please send us an enquiry
