Our Style
We believe this course offers an excellent range of qualifications and real value with a per week price of only £290. No SPA! There's no SPA automatically included because a 'beginner' student would not be able to achieve the proper pre-requisites. Outdoor Instructor Training
Access Course (level 1)
This is an outdoor instructor training course providing a great career development step consisting of a 19 week session in winter time that will enable students to develop to trainee instructor level. Especially suitable for those wishing to pursue a career in outdoor education with little or no logbook experience. It works especially well if followed by a summer working in the outdoors and then our Outdoor Instructor Progression Course, a second 19 week session developing technical and soft skills to instructor level.

Course Details
River Deep Mountain High are offering 6 places on the Outdoor Instructor Training Access Course running for 1 session of 19 weeks in the Lake District with a two week break at Christmas/New year. The session runs from October to March with the option of doing a second session in the following winter.
This course is ideal as an alternative to University for those serious about a career in the outdoor industry, wanting to take their first step into the industry and be developed into well-rounded outdoor instructors with an excellent range of technical and soft skills.
We believe we are unique in the variety of activities we offer and the lack of travel around the country needed to do all these activities, meaning greater contact time with your Instructor / Coach and good access to log book experience in your free-time. Other than one week in Scotland all activities are within 45 minutes of our base, taking place in both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
The programme is physically demanding and deliberately set over the winter giving more challenging conditions and will help to get a job at the beginning of the 2011 season. If you finish loving the outdoors in these conditions you know you will be fine in the summer.
