Stag and Hen Activity Days

We have a great range of activities for stag and hen groups. Whether you are looking for adrenaline pumping, full on action or a more relaxed, genteel adventure, we have something for everyone.

You are also free to choose any combination of activities you fancy depending on the length of your stay. We find stag and hen groups generally enjoy Gorge Walking, Abseiling, Raft Building, Archery and Canoeing. Below are examples of full days out but if you would prefer a half day session, we can arrange that too. Any combination of 2 standard activities is less than £70 per person for a group of 8 or more - we’ve given some examples below.

We have easy payment and group info systems, can provide packed lunches, help source accommodation and give any other advice you need to make the ‘organiser’ job that bit easier.

If your hen or stag group is large and happy to split up and experience activities separately, we can simply provide a range of our activities over the day or weekend after finding your groups preferences and you can all meet for a catch up at lunch.

Premium Day Gorge Walk in the Esk Valley - £68-85 per person (4-24 people)

The full day gorge walk in the Esk valley provides a fabulous playground of rocks, waterfalls and pools that can simply be enjoyed for hours. The start point is at the bottom of Hardknott Pass and the day begins with an hour’s walk up the valley to get to the main gorge section of the river for serious playtime and a spot of lunch in a very beautiful location.

This day is one of our favourites with stunning scenery, remote location, fantastic jumps that reach up to 8 meters high, pools and there’s even a hidden lagoon.

Archery & Gorge Walking Day

Archery is a great activity to take part in during your stay in the Lake District; allowing you to appreciate the true beauty of the countryside whilst having fun shooting some arrows! There are numerous games and competitions that can be fully enjoyed whilst breathing in the fresh air. Aiming games, Scoring Competitions and the Holiday Game get everybody involved and allow lots of practice to get you shooting towards the centre of the target - which is the main goal after all!

Follow this gentle morning with an adrenaline filled Gorge Walk in the stunning location of Rydal Beck where you can experience canyonning down a natural rock flume in to a pool and scrambling through the beautiful landscape. There aren't any rigged climbs in this gorge which means that you are constantly on the move with no waiting around. High water levels result in many waterfalls and pools to have an excellent swim in.

Keep your travelling to a minimum by staying at the Yurts at Rydal and doing all of your activities on site - perfect for a group of 12.

Scramble & Abseil Day

This Abseiling and Scramble day is a rewarding adventurous, adrenaline packed day! It begins with a 1000ft scramble up Raven Crag, which includes some walking and single pitch climbing - within half an hour you will begin to admire the beautiful views across Coniston over to Helvellyn. Surrounded by magnificent views at lunch time, there really are some great photo opportunities. For the afternoon, a walk over to Cathedral Quarry which offers the chance to explore old mining caves and tunnels, and it’s 43 meter slab of slate. Once you have completed the challenge of lowering yourself down the rock face, with the adrenaline still pumping, a short walk brings you back to the starting point.

Gorge Walking & Raft Building

A totally wet and wild experience! Begin the day with an invigorating Gorge Walk to get rid of the hangover and get the adrenaline pumping. Church Beck Gorge is a really fun half day session with 2 jumps in to deep pools, a trust fall, 2 rigged climbs through waterfalls, finishing off with climbing through a 10 meter long waterfall! We fully recommend this as a fun Gorge Walk with loads of challenges throughout and it combines brilliantly with the fun, yet competitive afternoon Raft Building session.

This session works best for groups of at least 6 people. We provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids and all the equipment required to create a raft(s) and test its prowess on the water by playing games and having races. It is great fun!
