If there is any place that you have wanted to walk or hike in the Lake District, and either haven't felt confident to navigate yourself, or aren't sure if you have the correct equipment...we aim to give you that confidence and open up opportunities for you to discover the true Lake District and experience a great adventure.

Alternatively, we can coach you in navigation techniques and train you to navigate yourself without the need for a guide or instructor, on our 2 day navigation training course, or a navigation refresher day, both with groups no larger than 6.

What do we do in a typical Guided Walking session

Guided Walking offer you led walking on the local fells (mountains, hills), showing off the best views of the English Lake District. We will often recommend walks you will not have heard of aswell as lakeland classics such as Helvellyn striding edge, and scafell pike. Our aim is to give you the confidence to explore and discover at levels you wouldn't have done before and go places you didn't realise existed to experience a real adventure.
With a walking day trip there is also the option of taking a linear walk, allowing much greater scope than if you had to walk back to where you started from. Our walks will always give you the chance to catch your breath with plenty of time to take pictures, soak in the view and find out more about what you see from your guide.

All our outdoor activity sessions include elements of fun, learning new skills, going on a journey, adventure and coaching. Each session will have one of these elements as its main focus, either because the activity naturally offers it, (eg. Walking a journey), or to tailor the session to the groups aims. Be sure to let our office/your instructor know if there is something you would like to learn, do or have concerns about. We will always remember that you are doing the activity as part of your time off and so your enjoyment will always be our priority.

Through years of experience providing quality outdoor activities we include all those small things that make your holiday so unique and memorable. Such as average instructor to customer ratios of 1:5 (so you have more time and are not rushed) complimentary hot drinks, and much more.

Why go Guided Walking in the Lake District?

The Lake District offers an incredible amount of terrain for walking as well as a great deal of variety in difficulty, height and under foot. With our guided walking (or hiking) you can go to the terrain of your choice without worrying about navigation, map reading or what to do if the weather turns. We will ensure you can confidently go where you would not under your own steam and surpass statistics (most people visiting the lakes tread no further than half an hour from their car)
