Archery Details

Archery harks back to Robin Hood, catching your dinner and the times when everyone in England had to be able to defend themselves with a bow and arrow. It can be one of the most peaceful and relaxing of our activities as you don’t really need to move very far but it is great fun and gives a great sense of achievement. We usually shoot in peaceful woodland nestled between Coniston and Windermere.

What do we do in a typical Archery session

Depending on whether or not you have taken part in Archery before, we can provide a taster session to provide basic skills of the game, as well as sharpening up your Archery technique. There are numerous games and competitions that can be fully enjoyed whilst breathing in the fresh lakes air.

We enjoy creating themes within Archery sessions, for example if you are taking part in Archery for an occassion such as a Birthday, an Anniversary, Valentines Day or just to enjoy the spring weather, please inspire us with your ideas when booking!

All our outdoor activity sessions include elements of fun, learning new skills, going on a journey, adventure and coaching. Each session will have one of these elements as its main focus, either because the activity naturally offers it, (eg. Walking a journey), or to tailor the session to the groups aims. Be sure to let our office/your instructor know if there is something you would like to learn, do or have concerns about. We will always remember that you are doing the activity as part of your time off and so your enjoyment will always be our priority.

Through years of experience providing quality outdoor activities we include all those small things that make your holiday so unique and memorable. Such as average instructor to customer ratios of 1:5 (so you have more time and are not rushed) complimentary hot drinks, and much more.

Adventure Days

Corporate Archery

The numerous beautiful lake fronted hotels that The Lake District has to offer, also present stunning grounds that are perfect to use for a competitive but team building game of Archery.
To engage and entertain colleagues on Corporate Away Days or Business Trips, we can organise activities to suit your group at the location of your conference and/or accommodation. Archery or Navigational skills are excellent activities to choose to allow individuals to work together in a fairly competitive environment.
Archery aiming games and scoring competitions are great fun, and we will provide instruction that encourages correct technique in an exciting session, with great quality equipment.
Take a look at our Corporate Groups Page for more ideas.

"Give it a go" Days

A Half Day Archery

Archery is a great activity to take part in during your stay in the Lake District. Archery allows you to appreciate the true beauty of the countryside whilst having fun shooting some arrows! Depending on whether or not you have taken part in Archery before, we can provide a taster session to provide basic skills of the game, as well as sharpening up your Archery technique. There are numerous games and competitions that can be fully enjoyed whilst breathing in the fresh air. Aiming games, scoring competitions and the Holiday Game get everybody involved and allow lots of practice to get you shooting towards the centre of the target…which is the main goal after all!

Half Day Whitestones Climbing

Located near to Newby Bridge in the Lake District, Whitestones offers an adventurous and rewarding collection of routes for climbing. Starting with a 10 minute walk over a small stream and a scramble towards the crag, that is when you can begin learning basic climbing skills, such as belaying, holding ropes for each other and doing some single pitch climbs. You soon reach a height which allows you to admire the views, and feel a great sense of achievement. Due to the variety of different routes available, Whitestones lends itself well to smaller as well as larger groups, and younger children or more experienced climbers. With an excellent Archery venue just 10 minutes drive away these 2 activities work really well together to create a full adventure day with 2 activities – even in the colder seasons.
