Tarn Beck Adventure Day
Our adventure day starts very gently in the beck right next to the road, but before you know it there's a little waterfall to clamber up and then pools and rocks and a proper narrow rocky gorge to go through. We then wind our way up Seathwaite Tarn, including a grade 1 scramble and the discovery of a hidden tarn. Tarn Beck and Seathwaite Beck can each be done as 1/2 days. Tarn Beck may involve travelling a short distance in vehicles mid session whilst wearing wetsuits.

Swallows and Amazons Canoeing
Canoeing is a dry option (unless it rains!). On Coniston Water, we can run our Swallows and Amazons adventure day in our extra wide and very stable boats. We explore the lake taking a journey from the beach which is situated next to a beautiful field that is featured in the Swallows and Amazons film. We also visit Peel Island, which is Wildcat Island in the books, on the way for a break and a hot drink and sometimes play a game or two. From Peel Island, we can raft the boats together and, if the weather is favourable, hoist a sail – a very relaxing way to travel, but still one that everyone can be involved in. Come along and discover some of the views and excitement of Swallows and Amazons on our fun trip on Coniston Water.
Stickle Ghyll and Jack's Rake Adventure Day
This is a fantastic scrambling day for people who like rock and a challenge. We start in Stickle Ghyll which is often used for half day gorge walking but continue up higher than usual, all the way to Stickle tarn for a spot of lunch. The challenge then is to conquer Jack's Rake - a grade 1 scramble, cutting diagonally across a slab of rock, high up on the Langdale fells. Great views to reward the challenge. This is a challenging day which is reflected in the minimum age of 14 years old.
Abseil & Scramble Adventure Day
This Abseiling and Scramble Adventure Day is a rewarding adventurous, adrenaline packed day! The day begins with a scramble up Raven Cragg, which includes some walking and Single Pitch climbing - within half an hour you will begin to admire the beautiful views across Coniston and over to Helvellyn. With magnificent views to set up camp for a spot of lunch, there really are some great photo opportunities. For the afternoon, a walk over to Cathedral Quarry which offers the chance to explore old mining caves and tunnels, and gives the choice of different height abseils. Once you have completed the challenge of lowering yourself down the rock face, with the rush of adrenaline, a short walk brings you back to the starting point.
